What we collect

Account: your email address, an optional name, and either a scrambled (hashed) password or your Google account ID if you sign in with Google. Passwords are never stored in readable form.
Study activity:your study profile (exam, level, practice goals), practice answers you type, multiple-choice attempts, evaluation results, notes you write, and which news stories you've read — this is the product.
Answer photos: if you use handwritten-answer evaluation, the photos you upload are stored only long enough to grade them — they are automatically deleted 7 days after grading finishes (or 30 days after upload if grading never completes), and they are deliberately excluded from our backups.
Payments: payments are processed by Razorpay. We never see or store your card/UPI details — we keep only the order reference, amount, and what was purchased.
Usage & errors: we use product analytics (PostHog) to understand which features are used, and error tracking (Sentry) to catch crashes. These receive technical event data, not your practice content.

Cookies

We use a small number of first-party cookies to keep you logged in (short-lived, HTTP-only session tokens), to remember that you're logged in on this device, and to remember appearance preferences like your theme. No third-party advertising cookies.

AI processing

Answer evaluation and question generation run on AI models operated on our own hardware by default. A cloud AI provider is used only when explicitly enabled by the operator; your answers are sent to it solely to produce your feedback and are not used by us to train models.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account yourself at any time from Profile → Account. Deletion is immediate and irreversible: your account, study activity, answers, evaluations, notes, and uploaded photos are removed, and every login session is ended. One exception, kept deliberately: payment records are retained(order reference, amount, item, date) for financial and legal record-keeping — after deletion they no longer link to any identifiable account data on our side. This aligns with the erasure rights under India's DPDP Act.
