Union Ministry of Health & Family Welfare organized a National Multistakeholder Consultation on the National Action Plan for Prevention and Control of Zoonoses, aiming to strengthen India's preparedness against zoonotic diseases such as Anthrax, Brucellosis, Kyasanur Forest Disease, Crimean-Congo Haemorrhagic Fever, Nipah, Mpox, Rabies, Leptospirosis, Scrub Typhus and Zika. The consultation brought together representatives from various sectors including human health, animal health, wildlife, environmental, academic, and development to discuss strategies for enhanced multisectoral coordination and response.
