India has entered a new era in semiconductor manufacturing with the commencement of commercial production at the CG SEMI facility in Sanand, Gujarat by the end of July 2026, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership and following the inauguration of India’s first two semiconductor plants on February 28 and March 31, 2026.
